About us
The Gladiators Basketball Club has proudly been part of the local basketball scene since the 1972/73 summer season. As one of the founding clubs of the Warragul and District Amateur Basketball Association (WDABA), it has played a key role in shaping the sport in the region for more than five decades. With multiple generations of families represented on the court, the club’s strong sense of tradition and community remains central to its identity.
Over the years, many of the club’s junior players have progressed to higher levels, going on to compete and coach with the Warragul Warriors, represent Victoria in state competitions, play at the NCAA and college level, and even take part in national leagues like the NBL and WNBL. Some have had the honour of representing Australia on the international stage. Today, the Gladiators continue to support and develop young talent, fielding boys’ and girls’ teams in the WDABA and nurturing a love for basketball across the community.
